26-year-old Dina Natuto is caught pocketing monies from the collection plate at Aqovida Fellowship Church at twenty-fourth Liwanag Street in Neverland Park, Sipsipnet City. She was arrested the previous year. She was sentenced earlier this afternoon after being in jail for three years.

Pastor Jack E. Bagbaga was impressed from the beginning with Natuto’s attitude and work. He assumed that nothing was wrong in the beginning and that he said that she was “too nice, polite, reserved, and gentle-hearted.”

Natuto was arrested when another church employee noticed a difference in the amount that is written on the donation and the actual amount within the envelope. After the police took over, the investigation showed that Natuto pocketed what is said to be one-point-eight-million-peso and or more. Bagbaga also stated that it took him a long time to decide whether to take legal action or not.

Judge Malou Hwang sentenced Natuto to serve three years and pay a fine of one-hundred-thousand-pesos. She pleaded guilty and made no statement to the court.
